Markforged Onyx Pro Desktop 3D Printer
STRONGER THAN PLASTIC
The Onyx Pro prints composite parts that are 10x the strength of plastic by reinforcing chopped-carbon nylon with continuous strands of fiberglass.
Fast and Affordable
Replace mission-critical machined metal with fiberglass composite parts at 1/20th the cost. These tough parts nail the sweet spot of strength and affordability.
Industrial Reliability and Accuracy
The Onyx Pro packages industrial grade reliability and accuracy into a machine that can fit on your desktop. Never worry about a print failing again.
Camera Cable Harness
Rent the Sky Films (Case Study)
Rent the Sky Films prints custom cable adapters for a 15 lb, handheld 3D camera that replaces conventional 100 lb rigs. These adapters consolidate cabling to a single interface point, making the camera simpler and easier to operate. Rent the Sky Films founder Scott Ferril describes this part as “the difference between getting the shots you want vs. the shots you have time for.”

Seawater Intake
MARTAC (Case Study)
MARTAC designs and manufactures next generation high performance unmanned aquatic vessels. In order to cool the motors on these vessels, they route cool seawater inward from the outside of the boat. By printing the water pickups, they drastically cut fabrication costs on what would be an incredibly difficult part to fabricate. Onyx is robust enough to survive both ocean debris and corrosive seawater.
Press Brake Tooling
Centerline Engineering Solutions (Case Study)
Centerline Engineered Solutions fabricates formed steel parts with an industrial press brake. In order to fabricate each part, Centerline has to make a unique punch and die. For most applications, the cost of this specialized tooling does not justify the expense of the part. By printing the tooling out of Onyx and reinforcing critical points with steel inserts, Centerline creates forming tooling at a vastly lower cost.

ONYX
Onyx yields stiff, strong, and accurate parts. Already 1.4 times stronger and stiffer than ABS, Onyx can be reinforced with any continuous fiber. Onyx sets the bar for surface finish, chemical resistivity, and heat tolerance.

PART QUALITY
Every Markforged desktop 3D printer is built with designers and engineers and mind. We know that tools for manufacturing must be reliable in operation and repeatable in output. That’s why we build our printers to deliver the highest quality of parts — precise, repeatable, and strong.
CARBON FIBER
Continuous Carbon Fiber parts stand up to the toughest applications.
FIBERGLASS
Fiberglass reinforced Onyx composites are as strong as metal — 20x stiffer and stronger than typical 3D printed parts.

CFF
Continuous Filament Fabrication
Formed from the combination of two materials, composite parts are incredibly strong and versatile. Our unique fabrication process enables you to print parts that are an order of magnitude stiffer and stronger than typical 3D printed objects.
Design
CAD your part, upload the STL, and select from composite materials such as Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass or Kevlar. The cloud-based software does the rest making printing the right part easy.
Reinforce
The dual material system crafts the composite part one layer at a time. The first nozzle builds the plastic matrix and the second winds the fiber throughout.
Part
As strong as aircraft grade aluminum and over 40% lighter, Markforged CFF parts are more than capable of replacing machined metal tools, fixtures and prototypes.

USABILITY
Cloud-connected software and a 4.3” touchscreen comes standard with every printer, washer and furnace. Regular over-the-air updates mean that your Markforged products keep getting better. Material usage tracking and out-of-material detection help monitor your printers and reduce waste. Just a few of the ways we’re working to reduce the distance from design to part.
