Founder & Managing Director
James Wall has a BEng, Industrial and Process Engineering, from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Master’s degree in Project Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
James is an experienced entrepreneur and since 2015 is the Managing Director of 3D Technology Ltd., and later also joining the board of MedScan3D as Director in 2018. James has an extensive knowledge of 3D printing, materials science, design for additive manufacturing and medical device design. James is also a successful oarsman and used to row for NUIG and Ireland.
Jacqui co-founded MedScan3D in 2018, after an extensive track record working in the R&D industry. Jacqui manages every aspect of MedScan3D, the medical division of 3D Technology Ltd, and oversees all medical projects.
Previously, she held management roles in a nutraceutical start up and in a large orthopaedic implant company, acquiring skills in regulatory requirements, technical sales and business development. She has a strong technical background with A1st class honours degree in Chemistry and a Biomedical Engineering Research Masters from NUIG. In her spare time Jacqui likes to do yoga and run, she has completed 2 marathons and hopes to do more in the future.
Senior Sales & Technology Engineer
Johannes is an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in CAD, medical device design and machine building. As a senior design engineer he grows our clients idea and brings the concept to fruition. His attributes include problem solving and innovation – no design job is too complex. Johannes is the main cog in our custom 3D printer, recently developed to our bespoke specifications in-house.
Johannes has a keen interest in photography and all things engineering, lucky for us!
Technical Design Executive
Martin is an experienced Medical Device designer with a background in Biomedical Engineering and Entrepreneurship. Martin is a 3D technical sales executive with extensive additive manufacturing experience. As one of the lead designers he also brings the client from the Ideation stage through Concept & Design right to Prototyping & Validation.
He is a recipient of the Ernst & Young Design Thinking Scholarship during his Masters in NUIG and achieved commendation for his work in prosthetics during this time. Over COVID-19, he developed the product line of AMBI Safe under the MedScan3D brand.
In his free time, Martin likes to skydive, waterski and snowboard… just kidding, it’s mainly video games and photography.
Technical Design Executive
Cillian is a Marie Curie researcher in BioImplant ITN, pursuing a PhD in Material Science with a focus on 3D Printing of Bioabsorbable Composite Materials for Orthopaedic Applications.
Cillian is also on a TV show on Comedy Central, a national station in the US.
Lead Innovator in Test Model Product Development
Conor is the Lead Innovator in Test Model Product Development, helping to bring client concepts from idea generation through to final production. He is an experienced Design Engineer with previous experience in a number of large multinational medical device companies including Medtronic and Boston Scientific. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick and is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Management with Queens University Belfast.
Conor has a keen interest in all areas of product design, always looking to understand how things work and what could possibly be changed to make them work better. In his free time, Conor likes to travel and stay active. He has spent two summers travelling in America and plays Gaelic Football for his local club.
Bob consults and teaches at the intersection of entrepreneurship and communications. His skills include branding, fundraising, business development, licensing and merchandising, human resources and strategic planning & implementation.
As to fun fact, he’s addicted to the jumbo grilled hot dogs at the Galway Christmas Market. Last year he ate 29 of them during the market’s run.
Stuart brings with him a fifteen year career in marketing and brand management, working with both indigenous and multinational companies in developing marketing campaigns and strategies across a range of sectors. He is the Founder & CEO of MedTech Marketing Services and Co-Founder of the medical device conference MedTech West Summit.
Stuart grew up dreaming of a career in Formula 1, now he mainly drives his kids to school.
