Galway company looks to raise the bar with new 3D printer

3D Technology Ltd. has announced the launch of a custom made modular 3D printer, designed and manufactured by the Galway based company.

Having established itself as the leading Irish supplier of 3D printers and printer parts for a number of US brands including Markforged and 3D Systems, 3D Technology Ltd. has committed to the development of a proprietary line of 3D printers. Having already caught the attention of 3D printing stakeholders, it’s latest LF3DT model continues to push the boundaries in terms of automation, speed and efficiencies.

According to Johannes Werner, lead engineer of the latest LF3DT model, the new printer was developed based on extensive market research and customer consultation. “Over the last number of years we have been in a position to liaise closely with our customers and understand the challenges and issues they may face with existing 3D printers. By having such a close dialogue we’ve been able to introduce a number of innovative features that customers have been searching for.”

Chief among the selling points of the new LF3DT is it’s usability, with the printer targeting both novice and expert 3D printers, made possible by a number of innovative user friendly features. And according to Werner, not only is the printer easy to use, it can be deployed in a whole range of applications.

“With the growth of 3D printing across a wide number of industries, our latest model can be utilised in a huge number of sectors including aerospace, medical device, automotive, oil & gas and architecture. It’s versatility is a key selling point for us.”

In addition to the usability and versatility of the LF3DT, additional features include faster print speeds, 24/7 material handling, reduced waste and more efficient air filtration.

Having received a hugely positive response from customers, 3D Technology Ltd. founder James Wall insists the quality of the printer is only part of the companies story. “In addition to the product range that we can offer customers, the aspect of our business that has really helped us grow is our ongoing training and support for customers. We’ve recognised that 3D printing is a new technology for a lot of organisations, so we’ve made sure to assist them with every step of the journey, from initial consultation right through to installation and after sales support.”

With the demand for 3D printing experiencing a surge in demand over the last 12 months 3D Technology look well positioned to go from strength to strength with their latest LF3DT mode.
