‘’This is our newest face shield and it is the only one of its kind on the market. The material has an integrated active ingredient which makes it effective against microbial growth, therefore it will not need to be sterilised or autoclaved. This means companies can save time while relieving any concerns with regards to contamination.’’

Central to the design of the new antimicrobial face shield have been MedScan3D, a sister company of 3D Technology Ltd. who have played a leading role in the development of the product. Johannes Werner, lead designer of the new face shield, is anticipating strong uptake.
“Since concept stage, the shield was designed with the objective of achieving clinical sign off which has now been attained. The antimicrobial headband is a key selling point of the shield, something that is unique to this particular product.”
